Eamon Espey's densly patterned black and white drawings diagram states of paranoia, mythology and the occult. His work has appeared in Free Radicals, Galago and Critical Citadel. In 2008 his comics and drawings were collected into the book “Wormdye.” Right now he lives in Baltimore and is working on his next book.
Carlos Gonzalez’ video “The Crystal Ball” is a home made 'psycho-drama' about the host of a public access TV show who burns the face of a fan and would be interviewer with corrosive acid. The victim is assisted by a local nurse in extracting his revenge, but too much is never enough as the movie reaches a climax of violence, confusion, and top-notch showmanship. Gonzalez is the author of “Slime Freak,” a member of Russian Tsarlag and has been making videos since 2006. His work has appeared in “Kramer's Ergot 6,” and “Nazi Knife.” He lives and works in a cryptorium in Providence, RI.
Jenni Knight fabricates the superfluous. She is an artist immersed in lo fidelity media and found objects. For now a nomadic moment, something in between the frenetic flicker of a scatter art and still life holding its breath. Tomorrow, a kind of "anxious object." Knight lives and works in Brooklyn.
Haisi Hu creates narrative videos using stop-motion animated puppets, toys and mannequins. The beauty and meticulousness of her work bespeaks an urgent concern for the fate of the world. She will present the intricately carved puppets and elaborate set pieces of her work in progress, “On the Debris of Affluence.” Hu was born in Guang Zhou, and lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
Jonathan Petersen’s work is drawn from his adventures in North America and put through a dream filter, augmented with texts reminiscent of the history of advertising. His drawings have been published in “Nog A Dod” (Conundrum Press, 2006) and in “The World’s Best Cookie,” He has had solo exhibitions at Charlie’s Gallery in Toronto, 50/50 Gallery in Victoria, and The Crying Room in Vancouver. Petersen lives in Toronto. He will be presenting large drawings.
